GIMP Exercise: Sailing Image

Sailing

 

I creating this Sailing image by following the instructions on http://people.clarkson.edu/~hamiltgr/gimp/gimpDoc.html and the rest of the information on the instructions. I made the background with gradient and the sun is a copy of a piece of the gradient in the water. I used a soft blue sky and added some layers of clouds with the airbrush tool . After that, I added the boat reflected it and then added the text. I chose a nice poem like text.
